Brothers In Christ,
This week we view the final segment of "Padre Pio Miracle Man." For me this movie put a different spin on suffering and made me realize the depth that my paltry sufferings can be used for the good of others. As we commence Holy Week, take an accounting of the sufferings of Jesus and St Padre Pio and pray that those sufferings continue to be a blessing to us all. Hopefully this Lenten Journey has provide a better insight as to the necessity of suffering, the graces that come from it, and the spiritual blessings we receive from it.
“It is to your advantage to commit yourself to the sufferings that Jesus will send to you. Jesus cannot tolerate seeing you afflicted and he will come to you and comfort you, blessing you with many graces for your soul”. Padre Pio
Next Saturday (March 26) don't miss the Tenebrae celebration @ 5:00 a.m. Tenebrae is a somber yet joyful celebration in that it helps us to experience more fully the Passion of our Lord Jesus.
As is our normal tradition, after Tenebrae we will go out to breakfast.
