Brothers, this week we continue
with the movie “Padre Pio, Miracle Man” and Padre Pio’s early years as a
Priest. This Holy and devoted child of God exemplifies a person of humility
as well as one who considers himself proud and conceited. In this session
Pio continues to experience torments and he receives the Stigmata of which
he finally accepts and draws on for strength. Many parallels are
shown between the life of Padre Pio and Jesus himself. As we continue
this Lenten Journey let us realize the importance of Padre Pio’s life to
the world and how our life obstacles are small in comparison.
Lord,
make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow
love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where
there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is
sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to
console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it
is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it
is in dying that we are born again to eternal life.
Prayer of St. Francis
